Requirements for AMT Audition - Deadline for audition is March 5, 2021
Period 7: American Musical Theatre (AMT)– AUDITION REQUIRED - Online auditions through March 5, 2021

- 1-minute monologue (memorized) - recording to be uploaded to your personalized Dropbox link
- Learn Dance Routine - will be performed in-person during the callback

AMT Vocal Audition #1 - Required
Please prepare one verse and chorus of a song from a Golden Age Broadway show (1940 - 1960). Please choose a song that highlights your voice and ability. Accompaniment may be live piano, or a piano (not orchestra) track. Make sure to dress in school-appropriate, comfortable clothing. Please be sure that your expression can be seen on the video. The video should not exceed two minutes. On the video, please include a spoken slate:
- Full Name
- Grade in school
- Title of song and composer
- Title of Musical and author
AMT Vocal Audition #2 - Optional
OPTIONAL - If you would like submit another video, you can submit a Vocal Belt Audition Performance. Again this is optional.
Please prepare one verse and chorus of a song from a Broadway show after 1960 (1960 - 2010). Please choose a song that highlights your belt and/or pop ability. Accompaniment may be live piano, or a piano (not orchestra) track. Make sure to dress in school-appropriate, comfortable clothing. Please be sure that your expression can be seen on the video. The video should not exceed two minutes. On the video, please include a spoken slate:
- Full Name
- Grade in school
- Title of song and composer
- Title of Musical and author
Monologue Audition - Required
Please prepare a memorized 1-minute monologue of your choice. Please choose a subject and use language that is school- and age-appropriate. Make sure to dress in school-appropriate, comfortable clothing. The video should not exceed one minute. On the video, please include a spoken slate:
- Full name
- Grade in school
- Name of monologue
- Name of author and play (if from a play)
Dance Audition - Required during Callback
A dance audition combination video will be sent with the callback time slot. Students will memorize and perform the dance at the call back.
